Good Music Needs Great Beats

,
MAKING MUSIC BEATS :

The heart of most modern music is in the beats. Bass tones and rhythms that make a music move. Pushing the song onward and inciting the listeners to really get moving. Without the solid power of the low side music just doesn't have much soul.

Good Music Needs Great Beats

All sorts of rhythms have been created and digitized over the years. This makes finding something new and fresh more and more difficult. It is the case of everything having been done before. Now everyone has to wonder if it there really is anything new on the scene. The answer to that is, yes.

New beats are always popping up all over the world. Granted new sounds are hard to come by, but that still leaves the area of new combination's and speeds. Creating something totally new by mixing sound and organizing it into something golden takes skills to say the least.

Finding these killer new beats is not always as easy as some would think. Making a new combination of tones in the quest for making a song just right takes great sounds and a keen ear. That is why even the big boys get a little help from the professionals when it comes to getting quality sounds.

Purchasing already made bass tracks is nothing new as stated before, but for those starting out it is not a simple thing to just run out and get. Fitting a song with a beat which is just right for it takes an artist. Finding an artist is what will require some searching, and that is a job for the internet.

With just a few quick searches and checking out some samples, anyone can begin the process of putting music to their words. Lyrics can come to life and flow like water from a faucet with just the right amount of flavor. It just takes the right groove and some bass to get everyone moving and then let the party get wild.

How Do You Learn To Dance?

,
MAKING MUSIC BEATS :

There is much confusion amongst the general public about how you can learn to dance. It seems that everyone wants to learn to dance. How many people when you ask them the things that they would like to learn one day mention dancing? From my experience pretty much everyone. But how many people go through the effort to learn?

How Do You Learn To Dance?

There is a myth out there that all dancers were born with the gift of dancing. My take on that is this: all dancers were born with the gift of dancing, and we were all given that gift! There are those who seemed to just drop out of their mother's womb dancing. However don't let the tears well up if this is not you, there is a dancer in everyone and it is something that can be unearthed.

The baby dancing on arrival in the world is a good analogy. A baby probably won't be able to talk for the first few years of its life. Then the words come out one by one, then sentences, and then absurdities on arrival of the teenage years. If I told you that I knew a 5 year old who could talk, would your face transform into an expression of surprise? (I'm hoping you answered 'no').

You give a baby as long as it needs to learn to talk or walk because you know that it will learn. With dancing it is just the same, it may seem unnatural at first, but with a bit of practice you can dance pretty well. And it won't take you as long as it took you to learn to talk!

The transition from walking and moving about normally into dancing is not as huge as it is made up to be. It is a case of making certain simple movements gestures, linking them up in interesting ways and making it look good! Of course when it comes to learning routines and choreography, that's another skill in and of itself!

So what's the answer to the golden question? How do you learn to dance? Well there are many ways. You could learn by copying your favourite artists such as Janet Jackson, Usher or J.Lo and studying their music videos. In fact, this is the way famous MTV choreographer Wade Robson learnt to dance. If you are naturally a good dancer, this could be a good approach.

Another way you could learn is to make friends with people who are good dancers and either copy them or try and get them to show you how to do a few of their moves. This is great, especially if you spend a lot of time with these friends.

The easiest way you can learn to dance is to join a dance class. There will usually be at least a couple of these in your area, maybe even a dance studio offering a variety of different classes from different teachers. If you are not naturally a dancer, joining a dance class or series of classes is probably the best option for you. Even if you can dance and learnt on your own, there are still plenty of things you can learn from joining a dance class. If you are at all serious about dancing as a profession, you should DEFINITELY be going to classes unless you are privileged enough to be the son/ daughter of a talented dancer or have lots of great contacts/ dancer friends.

The good thing about dance classes is that they are usually grouped into rough ability levels so if you are a beginner you can find a class at your level until you get better. Even so, it can feel as if you are throwing yourself in at the deep end when you begin, but nonetheless, just like you did with the walking and talking, STICK AT IT. You will get better.

As you go to more and more classes, you will start to build up the pieces of the puzzle of that style and soon you'll be dancing more confidently. The important thing (and I'm not just copying someone's words) is that you enjoy yourself regardless of your standard. It may seem difficult to comprehend (or maybe not) but the people who get good are usually the people who enjoy their dancing the most, even when they did have 2 left feet! Of course, be self-aware where you need to improve and work at it, but by all means, ABSOLUTELY NOT do not beat yourself up. If you need help, concentrate on the music in class and try and enjoy that!

If I were to give out one piece of advice (this changes with time, but here's my favourite advice I'm dishing out at the moment), it would be...to go out and dance! Now you may be saying "but I can't dance." You know what you need to do then! Start trying to copy what you see in dance videos and find out about dance classes you can go to. And then go to the dance classes that interest you. And then get better. And better. And better still.

Babies and the Study of Music

,
MAKING MUSIC BEATS :

If you have just had a child then Congratulations! I have experienced that joy 4 times.

Babies and the Study of Music

If you were blessed with a musical education and decided to send your child to music school in the future, that's great! Don't wait another second, you might already be too late. When should your child's study of music start? The answer is - even before the baby is born!

Even during pregnancy, mothers are encouraged to talk and sing to their baby. The child can hear you perfectly. This is proof that the study of music can start at conception. It is recommended you listen to classical music and sing during your pregnancy, especially if you have an ear for music.

Do this every day so that your child becomes familiar with your voice and also familiar with the music. Be careful not to expose your unborn child to music that is too loud or listen to something too loud on headphones. Music that is too loud can stress your baby and the stress you have from sounds over a headset can also transfer stress to your baby.

One common source of overbearing loud music is attending a concert or other public event especially during the sound check stage.

When the child is born, continue to enhance their study of music by softly playing the same music in the background. When you are holding your baby, move to the beat. As your child gets older, start doing exercises or other physical activities while the music is playing. Every little thing will help in the study of music for your child and the earlier the better.

It is also a well known fact parents can control their child's behavior and temper based on the type of music played in the house. You know what they say, music soothes a savage beast, and children can certainly be beasts from time to time. If your child is too hyper, slow them down by slowing down the music. If they are a little down, pick them up with some upbeat cheerful music. It is like magic and it works all the time.

As your child gets older diversify their study of music by developing their "musical visualization". This is done by playing soundtracks of natural sounds such as birds, crashing surf or waterfalls. If you only do this for a short time each day, you will seriously enhance their musical abilities and definitely help is their future formal study of music. The future of your child is in your hands.

I must also mention that you should have about 15 toys that make sounds, preferably musical sounds. Break them into 3 groups of 5 each and only let your child use one group at a time. About once a week swap to the next group and pack the previous group away. It is like Christmas every Tuesday or Friday for your child. This will also give you a bit of an idea of what type of instrument your child gravitates towards.

5 Tips to Get More Exposure For Your Music Online

,
MAKING MUSIC BEATS :

Here are some really simple ways to increase your traffic significantly. Remember, if you don't market yourself, you are really doing a disservice to yourself. You are like an artist performing in the middle of a desolate desert! Someone might find you by accident, but what you need to do is build roads to yourself.

5 Tips to Get More Exposure For Your Music Online

1. Youtube.com

Posting samples of your music on Youtube.com can bring a lot of traffic to you. Pick an appropriate title for your video, and make sure you use lots of keywords so that people can find you. The people who find your videos will already be a part of your target audience, because they searched the words that brought up your video, or were watching similar videos. Always leave your page URL so that they may visit and listen to the rest of your music.

2. Post on Relevant Online Communities

You can get heard very easily by posting on music online communities, or forums. A lot of forums have sections dedicated to artist submissions and reviews. The reviews are usually blatantly honest as well, which is a plus because you can learn how to make your music better. Online communities are also a great way to build relationships with your clients and with other artists.

3. Free Giveaways

People are magnetized to free offerings. It might just be human nature - but use to your advantage! For example if you make hip hop or rap beats, and you occasionally give some out for free, people will come to your page and seize the opportunity. They may like your music and buy a track, or might just tell their friends to go check you out. You can also have a contest, for free apparel or gig tickets for example. The possibilities are endless.

4. Collaborate

Work with local artists or collaborate with someone online! Make sure they are good, and that they will showcase your work well. You can also extend this idea and play shows with similar bands or artists live (when you do perform, hand out something that has your website on so they can find you afterwards). Most serious artists are very happy to collaborate because of the mutual exposure.

5. Send Friend Requests to the Right People

Most applicable to MySpace - People get lazy, buy a friend blaster, and send requests to everyone!

Blind friend blasting is problematic because you may never find your target audience. You may also have thousands of bots added, which will spam all over your page! make sure you add wisely and add the right people. When you find your audience, they will find you. Another reason to make sure you are adding humans because humans are able to promote you by word of mouth!

I hope this article helps you promote your music pages!

The End

Kindle Puts A Fire Under Apple

,
MAKING MUSIC BEATS :

You would have had to be living under a rock for the past year or so, if you haven't heard the big Tablet PC debate. Amazon's Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble's Nook or Apple's iPad; these are the top three tablets computers that are making their way into people's homes and businesses. Not everyone is sure what the best option is, so let us give you a Kindle Fire review.

Kindle Puts A Fire Under Apple

This 7-inch Android, Amazon Kindle Fire tablet has some great uses. You can read a great novel or your monthly magazine, listen to your music, watch videos and even play games. The Amazon Silk browser is not too shabby either, as far as tablet computers are concerned. The more you use it the more it gets to know you and your preferences, and unlike your spouse, it pays attention to your interests. Kindle also made ease of use, one of their number one priorities. Simply turn it on and you immediately know where to go and what to do.

We have heard of some issues of watching movies. According to online reviews you must be connected to Wi-Fi in order to watch a rented movie. If you buy the movie you can download it, but you have to download it to the device and not the cloud. We found it hard to find the appropriate answer as to whether you could watch a movie without the use of Wi-Fi, or if you had to watch it streaming.

Sales of Amazon's Kindle Fire are up and with a price tag of 9; it sure beats out the higher cost of the iPad. Since launching the Kindle Fire in November of 2011, the tablet accounts for 54.4% of the Android tablet market according to a report in ComScore, in April of 2012. Looks like Apple should take heed.

The Kindle is looking to expand its mobile marketing presence by making some changes and upgrades to the device. Increased sales of digital content such as movies, games and applications will help increase its span in the market. However, the Fire is not the only tablet on the market that is upping its mobile marketing skill. Look for more competition among other tablet developers.

As far as we are concerned this Kindle Fire review stands up against the iPad with confidence. The Kindle is aware of what it can accomplish and does so with pride. Many find that it will do what it needs to do, for a tablet PC, at a much cheaper price, and that is good enough for many. Click Amazon Kindle Fire for more information.

Some Of The Best Albums Of The Last Ten Years

,
MAKING MUSIC BEATS :

It's hard to say 'the best album' without causing an argument... which can be fun! But here are a few of the best that you may have overlooked.

Some Of The Best Albums Of The Last Ten Years

These are some names and albums you may not have actually heard before. Sure, U2 is probably sitting on your shelf.

'Cartographer' by E.S. Posthumous featuring Luna Sans. I had a vision when I was a kid of seamlessly blending rock and symphonic into something huge. Not only did these guys beat me to it, but they exceeded even what I could hear in my head. Five years waiting has given them plenty of time to create an absolute masterpiece with a light vocal touch provided by Luna Sans. Download it at CDBaby.com

'Mahler's Symphony #1' by Valery Gergiev. Mozart snobs usually turn their undereducated noses up at Mahler's power and bombast, but those of us in the know loved the London Symphony's crisp, atmospheric version of Gustav's melodic masterpiece. While #8 conducted and recorded with Leonard Bernstein is still my favorite for raising neck-hairs and rattling dishes, Symphony #1 still shines here and the production is superb.

'The Best of the Funk Bros.' by The Funk Bros. While they never truly released a disc as TFB by name, this stellar crew of backing players lit the fire under such Motown hits like 'Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch' and 'How Sweet it Is' just to name a few. These instrumental versions benefit from excellent remastering and give great insight into one of popular music's 'unsung' hero units.

'Third' by Portishead. Unexpectedly jolting and crazily creative, this caffeine-fed release gives you claustrophobic rushes with great hooks attached. Songs start, stutter and stop before you can quite lock on, but by the third listen, this soundtrack for uncertain times really takes hold.

'Modern Guilt' by Beck. Never failing to create post-slacker gold, this guy can make poetry from bar napkins or soup cans. This album reeks of sinister sarcasm and a cool backbeat.

'Return of the Champions' by Queen + Paul Rodgers. Now you've probably heard the names before, but if you missed this live concert on DVD, you missed an incredible--if unlikely--pairing. Rodgers was the voice of Bad Company, Free and The Firm, and while he is considered 'The Voice' in his native England, stepping in for the late Freddie Mercury seemed like the last thing he should be doing. Hear this, and he might just change (and blow) your mind.

'Rush' Different Stages. Rush can really do no wrong. They are perhaps the most accomplished rock musicians of the last 40 years, and this triple-disc release captures the trio in absolute live perfection.

Now certainly we could mention Metallica's last one (except we hate Lars) or Li'l Wayne (except we're sick of Li'l Wayne) and then there's Owl City (which we love, even if you don't). Despite the lackluster sales (can you say 'download'?) some super music came out these ten years past, and your best place to start hearing it is online. Super previews and deals from all kinds of sound-sources are everywhere, so log on quick!
